In June 2009, we went to Kauai with the Carter side of the family. We were there for 10 days which covered 2 sundays so we went to their sweet branch twice. Look at the building, so cute.
It took us 3 flights and almost 20 hours to get there, ( it's not worth it to save 100 bucks FYI. Never ever again.) and we were so hot and sweaty from our long layover in Honolulu with no air conditioning we jumped right in the pool when we got to the amazing house we stayed in.
Hanalei Bay. Seriously? hardly any waves, crystal clear, I could live on this little piece of heaven. I was totally in my zen place.
We hiked along the famous Napali Coast for 2 miles to this beach, and then another 2 miles inland to an amazing waterfall the can only be helecoptered into. We got swim in a lagoon under this 600 foot waterfall. TOTALLY worth the 8 mile hike.
