Heaven Continued...

WE SAW A WHALE!
We went to Morro Rock and of course Bill saw the big whale jump in the air and splash it's fins while I was in the bathroom, thank you pregnancy. By the time I waddled my fastest over to Bill we could watch it blow air from it's blowhole and dive under. This was the best shot I got because I was so excited I forgot to take a picture in time. So this was the magical shot of Willy I got. It swam around Morro Rock so we hiked around the other side to see if we could see it, but nope. Met a couple of other trespassers and snapped a cute pic. Check the belly, it totally popped over our little vaca. I told Bill I feel like I look like Winnie the Pooh, so now that's my nickname from my hubs. Super romantic haha
There are otters all over the bay and I tried all week to get a good shot because they are so funny, but this was the best I could.

If anything, we will retire here. One of my aunts told me one time that people are happiest when they live the life that matches their personality. This is where our personalities have met their match.

Speaking of needing a little sun...

January 2nd was our 1st anniversary so we decided to head for warmer fun in the sun. We made a road trip out of it. We headed down to Vegas and stayed with our cousins Whit & Holly for a night. It was quick, but fun to see them and catch up. Of course I forgot to take any pics dang it. Then we made an unusually long trip west to So. California. The day after New Year's was a bad day to choose to go and we had no idea the traffic we would face. A typical 4 hour trip took almost 8. We stayed with my good friend from highschool Pam and her cute family. She married a Huntington Beach boy named Paul so she lucked out and they are living the beach life in a cute condo they bought with their baby girl Payton. We did our usual HB activities, Wahoo's, shopping and of course the beach and pier. We even made a little time to go to Lynnie's house for Sunday dinner and caught up with her too. After that it was up HWY 1/PCH to Pismo Beach for our vacation. The drive was either breathtakingly beautiful or way ghetto. It was fun to go HWY 1 though instead of the main 101 that is off the beach and farther inland. We are in LOVE with Pismo Beach/San Luis Obispo area. In fact we went and looked at houses for sale just for fun:) We forgot what it was like driving with the windows down feeling the sun shine on your arm while it warms the car. We forgot how it feels to smell the beach wind while eating yummy authentic Mexican food outside. We also forgot what it was like to have nothing on our agenda but hanging out together.

If you scroll back to our honeymoon, the pictures are very similar because we got to stay in the same hotel resort called The Cliffs. We love this place. The workers are so nice, the rooms are too but the view and the grounds are the best part.

REALLY?

Anyone who knows me knows that THIS is not where I belong. Though I bet my neighbors are well aware now after I burst into tears at this sight haha. I was of course running late to work and so on and so forth so I'm sure that added to the drama. Long story short, it is about this time of year in the north pole that I diagnose myself with S.A.D. Basically a depression because of lame weather:) Though Bill and a few specific others don't think so, I acually do try and be as positive as I can about the fact that I am no snow bunny and belong in the sun. I swear my body chemistry changes and I'm a different person when the sun comes out and things are green and warm. All in favor of movin' out west say I.

Getting ready for Christmas!

Before...
After!

Bill is super good at posing for a picture and making it look natural, especially whenthe 49ers are playing-actually, from the looks of it's better than football, it's So You Think You Can Dance. Better known as SYTYCD:)

I LOVE Vance.

He is the happiest baby and getting so chubby and I looooove it. Look at this face! Yes, his favorite auntie got him his stylin' billabong shirt. I just thought it would fit him at 6-9 months like the tag says, not 10 weeks:)
Yes, he is resting his cute chin on his hand like a posed picture:)

hahahahaha perfect picture timing. These are all from my phone so the quality is semi-lame.

He has gained like 30 pounds since this picture. He's a little snuggle bunny. If he ever gets ticked because he gets tired and uncomfortable it's cute when I hand him to Chels and he snuggles up to her like 'oh yeah, that's my mom' and passes out. So cute.

We're having a baby!

I just realized I haven't made a blog announcement really, and I want my future kids to know that I really was excited I just am lame about updating my blog:) We're due May 9th and we find out for sure tomorrow if it is a girl or a boy, though our doctor thinks it is a boy because the little hands were down there blocking our view the entire ultrasound last month. Bill's like, " That's my boy!" We'll see tomorrow for sure.

Disneyland 2009!

The Carter side of our family is basically in love with Disneyland, especially Bill's dad, Jim. Hilarious. So, a couple weeks before Christmas we all flew down to meet up for a day at the happiest place on earth (minus Liam and Jay who are on missions:(). I had not been to the magical kingdom since I was 9 so I didn't really know what to expect. It was awesome. So funny and truly everyone is grinning and laughing. ( the workers at least were, we literally ran into pushy moms with NFL player determination looks on their faces with 15 kids and 6 strollers too haha) I quickly realized there was a pattern and tradition to how the Carters roll at Disneyland. First, you get the park hopper pass and show up at 8 am when they open and you stay until dark. Die hard. Head directly to the fun rides that will have long lines later, like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones. Grab a churro or 6. Head straight to Buzz Lightyear, then Buzz Lightyear and one more round of Buzz Lightyear. Alex usually schools everyone points wise and has very specific strategies for hitting the targets, that I am positive are rigged:) Then it's on to Peter Pan, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion. Eventually you make your way to California Adventure where we went on the coolest ride ever called Soarin' over California. Seriously you feel like you are flying- awesome. You eat at some point and pay 15 bucks for gross food, but nobody seemed to care because you wash it down with a killer churro and soda. Then repeat the whole process till everyone is tuckered out and ready to go home. They have a new-age Buzz Lightyear at California Adventure and I doubled Bill's score. Oh yeah.
My camera of course died so these super awesome quality pictures are from my powerful 2.0 pixel phone camera:)

Main Street, U.S.A Disneyland

The cool hotel we stayed in, only I would be this stoked about the hotel. I'm easily amused I guess.
