BRAD PAISLEY FOR MY BIRTHDAY!

Started out super fun with Dierks Bentley opening for him, who actually was just as good if not better!
Then it started pouring! Luckily we were in the rich people section way back on the grassy knoll so we had our trusty blanket...
Brad came out yelling " I'll play all night in the rain! I don't care! I'm here for you guys who work all day and pay for a ticket with your hard earned money to come see me so I'll play till they kick us out!" and I'm like "Freak ya we do! YAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Long story short-threw off the blanket and danced, it was super fun:)

The cutest produce stand...

Have I mentioned how much I love it here? I try and try to think positive about ending up anywhere and being happy, which I will. The magical thing for me about northern California is that you don't have to try. It just happens naturally. The second we hit Donner pass and Tahoe, I feel free and easy. The air is clear, the trees and greenery consume you and the buildings and houses all look unique and authentic. Not to mention people drive fast in the fast lane and slow in the slow lane. I fell in love with this little produce stand. I always leave CA eager to come back and excited for when we hopefully can stay permanently.

A little California does a body good.

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I LOVE jelly bellys. They just do somethin right. When we were driving through Fairfield on our way to Concord to visit Bill's fam, I saw a sign for the Jelly Belly factory and I was sold. I have always wanted to go there. It seemed like everyone had been there at least once but never me. So, I dragged Bill back to Fairfield the next morning for a free tour. It was like a live episode of "How It's made", coincidentally one of my fave T.V. shows. Plus, you got a bag of free jelly bellys at the end! It was a little crowded due a preschool coming for the tour and lots of kids! haha. Hysterical. Things to do in life: go to hawaii- check. go tour the Jelly Belly factory-double CHECK!

We went boating with Bill's Fam, they are brutal. I love the bridge in the background of the pics. It was perfect weather, all that was missing was Jay:(

SHOUT OUT

Let's have a big thanks go out to Steph for my blog facelift, I love the cute birds and my header looks far less goth. Gracias. Love you.

Just a little break and we're back!

We finished our Texas trip with a bang. Derek and Steph came home and did what we do best, we went out. A favorite pastime of ours ever since I can remember, Steph and I would save our money to go out for dinner or a treat. We would talk for hours or walk around the mall, usually after Sbarro. ( yeah, we had rich taste:) We thought we were so big. Now, times have changed. We are stoked if we get a full conversation in while trying to appease Ava, Aidan, Bill & Derek. Haha! We had so much fun walking down the riverwalk and eating at this awesome restaurant called Fogo de Chao. The boys conveniently found ESPN while taking a bathroom break. We LOVED San Antonio. People are so nice and life is a little slower, and yet you are still in a big city-sweet combo. The gym there was so awesome I swear I'd move there just for that. We flew home bummed because we miss being by our best friends, but hopeful for our future when we can peace out and try out somewhere new and exciting.
